TME and OPRAG strategic deal

Tanger Med Engineering (TME) and the Office des Ports et Rade du Gabon (OPRAG) have inked a strategic deal to install cutting-edge marine control systems VTS/AIS at the ports of Owendo and Port-Gentil.

These state-of-the-art technology will improve port operations’ efficiency and safety while facilitating optimal marine traffic management.

This partnership is the outcome of productive discussions between the two organizations, represented by Mr. Martin BOGUIKOUMA, Director General of OPRAG, MBINA IWANGOU Aymard, Deputy Director General of OPRAG, and NDJOGO Soler, Secretary General of OPRAG, on the one hand, and Mr. Nasser TLASSELLAL, CEO of Tanger Med Engineering (TME), and Abdelilah TAMIM, Maritime and Port Expert at TME and former Maritime Operations Commander at Port Tanger, on the other.

An important step in modernizing port and maritime operations and promoting Gabon’s economic growth in accordance with the goals of H.E. Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, the country’s head of state.
